What was the highlight of Hotel Convento dos Capuchos
It was a decent stay, the hotel has great potential.
The room was adequate and fairly comfortable. The decor was also adequate. The breakfast in the room was very good. The surrounding area, to the front of the hotel, had an amazing view. The restaurant served a very nice dinner.
The room with a dreadful view. I have never seen a Junior suite with a view to the utility area (some kind of electrical and air conditioning house). Was expecting a magnificent view, that was available from the other 2 sides of the hotel. The linen in the bed had marks of dirtiness, but I assume it was from the cleaning process. The floors were not properly vacuumed and in the bathroom, there were hairs everywhere and the porcelain was not well cleaned. The lighting in the bathroom was terrible, extremely difficult to make a perfect beard. One of the night staff of an enormous incordiality, rude and annoying. Thank God I only saw him on the first night! The diner service was terrible. The waiter just left us there until we decided to get up and go to him at the reception desk.

Romantic stay in a monastery
It was a new experience for us - stay in a monastery, whose walls and structure is from the old times, but the furnishing is modern. We liked it! The restaurant is good, the specially - bacalhau à lagareiro, we recommend.
The pillow and mattress could be better, the temperature inside the room in the night was not that comfortable (in November it was cold).

Comfortable stay in beautiful historic biuilding with decadent breakfast and friendly staff.
The physical building itself was beautiful. Great setting. Decadent breakfast. Friendly staff. Room upgrade was much appreciated!
Only thing that was unpleasant was that our room faced the courtyard, and there was a very bright light outside in the courtyard that shined directly into the room.
